Hi! I'm Jackson Huang, the creator of this course. I graduated with an IB 45 in 2014 and scored a high 7 in IB English, including a 20/20 for Paper 1.
Since graduating from the IB, I've tutored more than 25 SL and HL students in Australia taking Literature and Language & Literature. But I wasn't satisfied, because I wanted to help more students all over the world.
After releasing my Analysis Bootcamp course in 2016, I've been able to share my expertise with IB students like you all around the world. It's an awesome feeling to know that I'm helping students in places like:
I've actually wanted to make this course for a long time--in fact, a couple years now. It was only in 2016 that I felt truly confident in my ability to deliver content that will help you improve in IB English analysis. 2016 was the year that marked 5 years of experience with IB English: three years as a consistent 7 student in IB DP and Pre-IB, and two years teaching analysis 7 days a week.
I might sound like a hermeneutical expert (Google that word, I only learned it in 2016!), but I'm actually still learning new things all the time: from my students like you, from my Modern and Contemporary Literature subject at uni, from random YouTube videos like John Green's Crash Course, from everywhere.
I'm super passionate about literature, I'm always learning, and I really hope that I can share my IB experience and knowledge with you.
